CHINCHIN TANGO(친친탱고) - Tango del Mar(바다의 탱고)

탱고 앙상블 친친탱고가 첫 번째 정규앨범 [Tango del Mar(바다의 탱고)]를 발매한다.

이번 앨범은 ‘우린 모두 바다에서 태어났다’는 생각에서 출발해, 삶의 여정을 바다 위 항해에 비유하며 음악으로 풀어냈다.

끝이 보이지 않는 바다 위에서 돛을 올리고, 바람에 몸을 맡기며 흘러가는 배처럼, 우리의 삶 또한 예측할 수 없는 파도 속에서 흔들리고, 때로는 길을 잃는다.

그러나 그 모든 순간이 우리를 단단하게 만들고 앞으로 나아가게 한다. 친친탱고는 이 여정을 음악으로 담아, 듣는 이의 마음에도 잔잔한 순풍을 선사한다.

앨범의 시작을 여는 ‘첫 파도’는 삶의 항해를 처음 내딛는 순간의 설렘과 긴장을 담았다. 잔잔하면서도 파도의 물결처럼 흐르는 선율 속에서, 새로운 시작 앞에 서 있는 우리 모두의 마음을 느낄 수 있다.

이어지는 ‘돛’은 바람을 받아 앞으로 나아가는 배를 닮은 곡으로, 삶의 불확실성과 그 속에서 느끼는 기대를 음악적으로 표현한다.예측할 수 없는 환경 속에서도 돛을 올리고 나아가는 용기, 흔들림 속에서 자신을 다잡는 마음이 곡 안에 살아 있다.

'Tango del Mar(바다의 탱고)‘와 '물숨’은 바다의 숨결과 같은 곡이다.

영원히 밀려오는 파도 속에서, 우리가 느끼는 근심과 불안이 얼마나 작은 것인지 되돌아보게 한다.

부서지는 파도와 다시 일어서는 과정, 반복 속에서 느껴지는 위로와 평온함을 음악으로 그려냈다.

다음으로 ‘Nueva Ola(새로운 물결)’는 변화와 성장을 상징한다.

익숙한 파도를 지나 새로운 물결을 마주하며, 과거의 자신을 돌아보고 앞으로 나아가는 힘을 담았다.

‘Butterfly Dance(나비의 춤)’는 어린 시절의 호기심과 순수함, 두려움보다 호기심이 앞섰던 순간들을 음악으로 표현했다.

나비의 날갯짓처럼 작지만 강한 움직임이 삶의 물결을 만들어내고, 그 중심에서 다시 서 있는 자신을 발견하게 한다.

‘C’est bon!’과 ‘준비 SET VAMOS!’는 삶을 지탱하는 기억과 순간들에 대한 헌사다. 지난날의 웃음과 눈물, 이름 모를 풍경들 속에서 오늘의 나를 붙잡는 힘을 음악으로 전하며, 지나간 시간 속에서도 기억 속 빛을 덧칠하고 간직하는 여정을 담았다.

앨범 후반부에는 밴드 결성 초기 작업곡들이 자리한다.

‘달맞이’는 늘 마음을 지켜주는 달빛과 같은 곡으로, 음악적 출발점에서 느낀 따스함과 위로를 담았다.

‘Sunset in Paris(파리의 노을)’는 실제 풍경을 담아낸 듯한 곡으로, 감각적인 사운드와 섬세한 표현을 통해 순간의 정취를 그대로 전한다.

‘단역’은 주인공이 아니어도 존재 자체로 의미 있다는 메시지를 담은 곡으로, 음악적 철학과 삶의 태도를 동시에 보여준다.

이번 [Tango del Mar]는 바다의 이미지 속에 삶의 여정을 녹여낸 앨범이다. 친친탱고는 탱고의 전통적 요소를 현대적 감각으로 재해석하며, 감성적 서사를 통해 듣는 이에게 각자의 항해를 돌아보게 하는 시간을 선사한다.

CHINCHIN TANGO – Tango del Mar

The tango ensemble CHINCHIN TANGO is releasing their first full-length album, [Tango del Mar].

This album begins with the thought, “We were all born from the sea,” and draws a parallel between life’s journey and a voyage across the vast ocean, expressing it through music.

Like a ship with its sails raised, drifting with the wind on an endless sea, our lives sway with unpredictable waves and sometimes lose their way. Yet, every moment strengthens us and helps us move forward. Through this album, CHINCHIN TANGO captures this journey in sound, offering listeners a gentle breeze to accompany their own voyage.

The album opens with “First Wave”, capturing the thrill and tension of taking the very first step into life’s voyage. Its gentle, wave-like melodies convey the feelings of anticipation and hope we all share at the start of a new journey.

Next, “Sail” resembles a ship catching the wind and moving forward, reflecting life’s uncertainties and the excitement within them. The courage to raise the sails and continue despite the swaying, the determination to stay steady—these emotions are carried throughout the piece.

“Tango del Mar” and “Water Breath” echo the very pulse of the ocean.

Through the ever-flowing waves, they remind us how small our worries and anxieties are. In the breaking and rising of waves, in their endless repetition, one can feel a quiet reassurance and inner calm, beautifully expressed in music.

“Nueva Ola (New Wave)” symbolizes change and growth. Passing familiar waves and encountering new ones, it reflects the strength gained from looking back at oneself and moving forward.

“Butterfly Dance” captures the curiosity and innocence of childhood—the moments when curiosity outweighed fear. Like the delicate flutter of butterfly wings, small yet powerful movements create ripples in life, guiding one to find their center once again.

“C’est bon!” and “Set Vamos!” pay tribute to the memories and moments that sustain life. Laughter and tears, nameless landscapes from the past, hold the power to anchor us in the present. These tracks convey that journey of remembering and cherishing the light within those memories.

The latter part of the album features songs from the band’s early days.

“Moonlight” acts like a comforting moonbeam, representing the warmth and reassurance felt at the beginning of their musical journey.

“Sunset in Paris” paints an actual landscape, capturing the atmosphere and fleeting beauty of the moment through delicate and expressive sound.

“Bit Part” carries the message that even if one is not the protagonist, their existence still holds meaning, reflecting both musical philosophy and life’s values.
